About the position

The Business Analyst role at Madix involves collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to support strategic decision-making across various departments. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify business problems and provide actionable insights through data-driven recommendations. The analyst will also be responsible for developing predictive models, creating visualizations, and presenting findings to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, and preprocess data from various sources.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.
  • Develop and test hypotheses to drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Build and validate predictive models and machine learning algorithms.
  • Utilize statistical techniques and tools to analyze complex data sets.
  • Build models from the foundational level and optimize for accuracy, performance, and scalability.
  • Create data visualizations to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Develop dashboards and reports to provide ongoing insights and track key metrics.
  • Present complex data findings in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify business problems and data needs.
  • Provide recommendations based on data analysis to support strategic initiatives.
  • Work closely with IT, Finance, Sales, and Operations teams to identify business requirements, support data needs, and drive system enhancements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years overall business experience including Data Science, Marketing/Product Management or Category Management Analysis.
  • Experience with Nielsen or IRI data preferred.
  • Possess strong strategic thinking and root cause problem solving ability.
  • Proficiency in data extraction from SAP tables.
  • Familiarity with SAP functions such as SD and MM.
  • Strong experience with Alteryx for data preparation, automation, and workflow management.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau or Power BI).
  • SQL experience preferred.
  • Possess developed financial literacy and business acumen.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively to corporate or department goals.
