About The Position

The Business Development Manager at Southland Industries is responsible for creating and implementing strategic plans for the EAST division, focusing on energy services. This role involves collaborating with local Account Representatives to target clients, supporting sales efforts, and driving growth in alignment with the Director of Energy Services. The position emphasizes customer engagement, mentoring sales personnel, and maintaining a robust sales funnel while attending networking events to enhance business opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree; Master's Degree preferred.
• 10+ years of consultative and/or complex sales experience.
• Experience in a quota-driven sales environment, exceeding sales production targets.
• Experience working with public sector or governmental agencies.
• Experience with engineering, architectural, and/or design-build firms.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to conduct presentations for public forums.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and PowerPoint.
• Interest in sustainability strategies and energy efficiency.
• Demonstrated financial and business acumen.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategy for Energy Services support implementation with EAST Branches.
• Assist branch sales personnel in developing opportunities and guide them through the energy sales process.
• Collaborate with cross-functional project development teams to secure new business and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain revenue and margin quotas and manage a robust sales funnel.
• Train branch personnel in Energy Services Sales and related topics.
• Attend networking and trade show events to generate leads and represent Southland positively.
