About the position

The Business Development & Outside Sales Representative at New Mexico Sports & Wellness is responsible for promoting and selling memberships to local businesses, aiming to meet or exceed personal sales goals. This role involves developing and maintaining a lead generation system for corporate memberships, engaging with healthcare agencies, and promoting corporate wellness programs. The representative will also focus on retaining current members and obtaining referrals, while establishing strong relationships with local and national businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell New Mexico Sports & Wellness memberships to area businesses.
  • Develop and maintain a prospect lead generation system for corporate memberships and healthcare referrals.
  • Establish documented agreements with local companies and healthcare agencies.
  • Collect corporate affiliate fees from participating companies.
  • Promote participation in corporate sales programs such as Healthiest Company and Corporate Fitness Challenge.
  • Generate, maintain, and execute individual and corporate sales leads.
  • Assess prospects' needs and provide personal solutions through memberships.
  • Coordinate and manage promotional efforts to increase club awareness.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with local and national businesses.
  • Network at local events to create new business opportunities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1 year of experience in a commission-based or goal-oriented sales environment.
  • B2B sales experience is required.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule, including weekends and evenings.
  • Experience in outside sales is a plus, but not required.
