About the position

The Business Development Representative at TruGreen is responsible for achieving sales goals and executing sales plans within an assigned territory, focusing on business-to-business opportunities. This role involves generating and securing new sales through cold calling and prospecting, primarily targeting property management firms, landscape companies, and various corporate entities in need of lawn care services. The position offers the potential for uncapped commissions and is part of a growing commercial sales team.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales goals and execute sales plans to small, medium, and large businesses.
  • Conduct 75-80% cold calling to generate new business.
  • Call on property managers, landscapers, school systems, sports facilities, government facilities, restaurants, banks, and other corporate entities.
  • Present proposals for lawn care services and programs, obtaining long-term contracts.
  • Generate new business-to-business sales revenue by prospecting and adding new commercial customers.
  • Negotiate price and design utilizing custom-based technology and devices.
  • Manage projects and opportunities using a CRM system, including forecasting reports.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in B2B sales.
  • 5 years of experience in cold calling.
  • Proficient in CRM software.
  • Strong relationship management skills.
  • Ability to prospect effectively.
  • Valid Driver's License.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in lawn care or related services.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
