About the position

The Business Development Representative at BradyPLUS is responsible for developing new customer relationships within the janitorial/sanitation segment and cross-selling key product categories. This role emphasizes a solutions-based approach to meet customer needs while leveraging CRM tools to track leads and drive growth. The representative will engage in various sales activities, ensuring high visibility and quality service delivery to clients.

Responsibilities

  • Identify sales targets and develop action plans to acquire new customers.
  • Travel within the assigned territory to meet with regular and prospective customers, soliciting orders for commercial and packaging products.
  • Develop and maintain sales materials while staying up-to-date with product knowledge.
  • Prepare sales presentations, proposals, contracts, contract activations, and maintain service agreements.
  • Proactively provide status reports, sales activity updates, and reports on sales goals, closings, and follow-ups from field activities.
  • Present and sell company products and services to current and potential clients.
  • Advise customers on the proper selection of products to meet their needs and assist in establishing cleaning procedures.
  • Enter sales call details into CRM software daily and prepare weekly sales activity reports.
  • Successfully close new business, set pricing, and explain credit and payment terms to customers.
  • Collect all necessary data and paperwork from prospects/customers for new customer setup.
  • Demonstrate or display products to prospects and customers, emphasizing features that meet their needs, and provide training on North American products, online ordering systems, and services.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers post-sale, investigating and resolving any customer concerns.
  • Attend trade shows, events, and conferences to boost product awareness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 2 - 5 years of sales or sales management experience with documented success.
  • A strong work ethic, self-motivation and discipline.
  • Driven with an ambitious and competitive nature.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
