About the position

Seesaw is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Business Intelligence & Analytics team on a part-time contract basis. This role is crucial in shaping our data strategy and will involve building strong relationships with various stakeholders across the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering valuable insights by analyzing data and synthesizing this information into consumable reports and actionable insights. The contract position is temporary and part-time, requiring 30 hours of work per week, with a flexible start date of August 26, 2024, for a duration of six months. The hourly rate for this position ranges from $40 to $60. In this role, you will work directly with and serve as a liaison between the data, product, customer success, sales, and marketing teams. You will conduct exploratory data analyses to answer business questions and support product and go-to-market teams in running in-depth analyses. Regular ad-hoc data querying, reporting, and data deep dives will be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will implement updates and improvements to existing Tableau dashboards, incorporating feedback and evolving requirements, and develop new dashboards by collaborating closely with stakeholders to understand their specific needs and objectives. Ensuring data accuracy, relevance, and consistency in reports and dashboards will be a key focus of your work.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with and serve as a liaison between data, product, customer success, sales, and marketing teams.
  • Conduct exploratory data analyses to answer business questions.

  • Generate regular ad-hoc data querying, reporting and data deep dives.
  • Implement updates and improvements to existing Tableau dashboards, incorporating feedback and evolving requirements.
  • Develop new Tableau dashboards by collaborating closely with stakeholders to understand their specific needs and objectives.
  • Ensure data accuracy, relevance and consistency in reports and dashboards.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, data science, or other related fields.
  • Strong SQL skills. Experience with Snowflake is a plus.
  • Experience working with Tableau and building dashboards for reporting.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to concisely present data and communicate to stakeholders across various teams and levels.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity in a start-up environment.
