About the position

The Finance Business Intelligence Analyst at PrizePicks plays a crucial role in providing data analysis and reporting to support the finance and accounting teams. This position focuses on ensuring accuracy in financial data, driving efficiency in processes, and supporting the company's expansion into new markets. The analyst will collaborate with various departments to optimize workflows and enhance data accuracy, ultimately contributing to the strategic goals of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Support and team with the finance and accounting departments to provide meaningful data analysis, tooling, and reporting to address audit and financial requests.
• Partner with the Business Intelligence team to gather, analyze, and interpret data that will inform key business strategies.
• Identify opportunities to improve and automate finance analysis and compliance processes for greater efficiency.
• Perform ad hoc analysis to support the business needs of our stakeholders.
• Continuously optimize workflows and resource allocation to enhance data accuracy, streamline processes, and support financial and compliance goals.
• Support the Business Intelligence team in developing reporting systems and tools to measure and refine business strategy.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and colleagues across departments, ensuring seamless integration of financial and compliance activities.

Requirements

• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to derive actionable insights from data and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• 2+ years of experience with data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, or R, and Data Visualization platforms like Tableau, PowerBI, etc.
• In-depth experience with financial analysis techniques, including forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in both data analysis and documentation.
• Excellent communication skills and strong ability to partner with stakeholders to understand and provide high-quality deliverables.
