As a dedicated Business Intelligence Analyst I at USAA, you will play a crucial role in analyzing complex business problems and issues by utilizing data from both internal and external sources. Your insights will be invaluable to analysts and decision-makers, as you will identify and interpret trends and patterns within datasets to uncover influences that can drive business decisions. You will be responsible for creating specifications for reports and analyses based on business needs and the data elements that are available or required. Additionally, you will prototype solutions for displaying information tailored to business needs, ensuring that the final products effectively communicate the necessary insights. In this position, you will independently capture sophisticated business requirements by collaborating with customers to define the business problems and data needs. You will leverage your intermediate understanding of multiple data structures and sources to lead the development and implementation of business intelligence solutions, which may encompass data visualization, data transformation, or data collection. Close collaboration with IT execution teams will be essential as you work on the development of analytic infrastructures and data engineering efforts. You will also apply data visualization standard processes, selecting the appropriate data tools to identify and interpret trends or patterns while adhering to standard enterprise branding. Your role will require you to understand the importance of prototyping, usability, and the end-user experience to enhance the impact of the final data visualization products, such as dashboards, reports, insights, or analyses. Acting as a trusted data visualization advisor, you will drive business value by developing advanced knowledge that influences relevant data, information, and application architecture decisions. Furthermore, you will actively participate in industry groups or panels to stay ahead of trends and share best practices with your team. Ensuring that risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies will also be a key responsibility.
