In this role, the Business Intelligence Analyst II will collaborate with various teams to provide data-driven insights and facilitate effective communication between different operating units. The analyst will gather and analyze user requirements to create complex reports and dashboards, ensuring compliance with established standards and policies for clinical data reporting. The position also involves testing analytical methods and making recommendations for their application, as well as providing troubleshooting support for end-user clinical analytics applications. The analyst will develop standard scorecards and reports that integrate clinical, operational, and financial data, identifying areas for improvement based on performance metrics. Furthermore, the analyst will be tasked with collecting and interpreting clinical data to forecast trends that impact the healthcare sector. This includes tracking performance metrics, presenting performance information to leadership, and assisting in the development and monitoring of performance improvement initiatives. The role requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to meet the organization's data and information needs.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct clinical and non-clinical data analytics to support business decisions.
  • Produce reports and dashboards using Microsoft Excel and PowerBI.
  • Collect data from enterprise data systems such as Epic Slicer Dicer, Caboodle & Clarity, and SAP/Crystal.
  • Analyze competitive positioning, trends, and demographics to inform strategic options.
  • Ensure compliance with standards and policies for clinical data reporting.
  • Test analytical methods and provide recommendations for their utilization.
  • Provide troubleshooting support for end-user clinical analytics applications.
  • Develop standard scorecards and reports integrating clinical, operational, and financial information.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement based on performance data.
  • Monitor clinical effectiveness strategies and metrics.
  • Provide end-user training for new hires or system changes.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret clinical data to forecast trends.
  • Track performance metrics using input from clinical system and region leaders.
  • Build clinical forecast and trend reports regarding the healthcare industry.
  • Develop ad-hoc reports and analyses for leadership and key business partners.
  • Coordinate communication between internal and external parties on assigned tasks.
  • Work with business and clinical units to prioritize data requirements.
  • Analyze Business Intelligence requests and develop new processes as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Business, Statistics, Data Analytics, Evaluative Clinical Sciences, Health Care Management, or related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in Data/Analytics.
  • Experience with statistical process control and benchmarking software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerBI and advanced Microsoft Excel functions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-based environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves
