The Business Intelligence Analyst position at Johns Hopkins University is a critical role within the Medical Development Services and Analytics (MDSA) team, which operates under the Fund for Johns Hopkins Medicine (FJHM). This team is dedicated to supporting the philanthropic efforts of Johns Hopkins Medicine by providing data analytics and insights that drive decision-making and enhance fundraising initiatives across various clinical departments and hospitals. The Analyst will be responsible for transforming raw data into actionable information, thereby supporting the strategic goals of the organization. This position requires a strong analytical mindset, as the Analyst will engage in the development of reports and dashboards that focus on medical philanthropy operational support and compliance with HIPAA regulations. In this role, the Analyst will work closely with FJHM leadership to ensure that data delivery and analysis meet the needs of the organization. The responsibilities include maintaining and validating data sources, conducting data integrity analysis, and resolving any defects in development systems. The Analyst will also be tasked with acquiring medicine-specific constituent data and creating reports from Johns Hopkins' enterprise databases. This position is essential for supporting performance measures, ongoing measurement, data collection, reporting, and information dissemination, all of which are vital for the success of fundraising efforts. The Analyst will operate under the supervision of a Data Trust Analytic Team Leader or other appropriate leadership, ensuring that the use of business intelligence applications enhances clinical and business decision-making capabilities. The role requires the ability to make informed decisions using available resources to achieve positive outcomes for patients, visitors, students, and staff while balancing sound business practices. The Analyst will also be expected to communicate effectively with management regarding urgent situations and software issues that may impact workflow.
