We are seeking a Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to join our team who is passionate about turning data into insights and driving business success. The BI Analyst's responsibilities include collecting, analyzing, and maintaining data sets to improve our products, services, and business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data analysis, data management tools, and databases. Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities are crucial for this role. The BI Analyst will develop and manage BI solutions that provide actionable insights into key business performance metrics. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver comprehensive data reports and visualizations. Conducting thorough market analysis to identify trends and opportunities in the insurance sector is also a key responsibility. The BI Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making processes and ensure data accuracy and integrity by implementing quality control measures. Additionally, the analyst will develop policies and procedures for the collection and analysis of data while ensuring that data security principles are followed. Staying abreast of industry developments and adjusting BI strategies accordingly is essential for success in this role. Other duties may be assigned as needed, and all employees are expected to participate in catastrophic events.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage BI solutions that provide actionable insights into key business performance metrics.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver comprehensive data reports and visualizations.
  • Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends and opportunities in the insurance sector.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making processes.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity by implementing quality control measures.
  • Develop policies and procedures for the collection and analysis of data.
  • Ensure data security principles are followed.
  • Stay abreast of industry developments and adjust BI strategies accordingly.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in SQL, data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a BI role, preferably within the insurance industry.
  • Data migration experience.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively convey insights and influence decision-making.
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry's standards and regulations is highly desirable.

  • Experience with data management tools and databases.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet tools like Microsoft Excel for data organization and analysis.
