About the position

One of our clients is seeking a skilled Business Intelligence Analyst to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL, Tableau, Redshift, and Power BI, with a keen ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. This role is crucial for driving data-driven decision-making and optimizing business performance. The Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for developing and maintaining complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from various sources. They will design and implement interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau and Power BI, perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decisions, and utilize Amazon Redshift to manage large datasets and optimize database performance. Ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across all reporting tools is essential, as is working closely with stakeholders to gather business requirements and deliver data-driven solutions. The analyst will also present findings and insights to business leaders in a clear and concise manner, continuously improve reporting processes and systems for efficiency and effectiveness, and stay up-to-date with the latest BI tools and technologies, recommending improvements as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze data from various sources.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst or similar role.
• Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
• Expertise in Tableau and Power BI for data visualization and reporting.
• Experience with Amazon Redshift or similar data warehousing solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Advanced certifications in Tableau, Power BI, or SQL.
• Experience with additional BI tools or technologies.
• Knowledge of Python or R for advanced data analysis.
