The Business Intelligence Analyst position at the University of North Texas (UNT) is a pivotal role within the Data, Analytics, and Institutional Research (DAIR) department. This position is designed for individuals who are eager to contribute to a team of dedicated data and analytics professionals. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with both internal and external stakeholders to support a variety of institutional research and analytic initiatives. The primary focus of this role is to assist in the ongoing development and implementation of SAS Business Intelligence tools, specifically SAS Visual Analytics and SAS Visual Statistics. These tools are essential for creating and maintaining analytic dashboards, collectively referred to as the Insights Program, which are intended for widespread distribution within the UNT community. In this role, the Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for several key functions. Firstly, they will perform data analysis, generate analytics, and effectively communicate results that involve institutional data. Secondly, the analyst will assist the Director of Institutional Research in building relationships with functional and technical Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to design reports and dashboards that address critical institutional initiatives. Additionally, the analyst will play a vital role in advancing the data landscape within the DAIR department, ensuring that the team remains at the forefront of data analytics in higher education. The position requires a commitment to collaboration and communication, as the analyst will provide direct support to both internal and external stakeholders, manage relationships with data providers and end users, and facilitate communication regarding changes, enhancements, and new analytics and data resources.
