About the position

Reporting to the Director of Commercial International, the Business Manager- Commercial International provides supervision and management of the day-to-day operations of SSI commercial contracts, including monitoring quality of performance, safety compliance, contract compliance, cost control, and manpower requirements. The Business Manager will interact and work closely with the Director of Commercial International to improve contracts' financial and operational performance. This role involves strategic planning and hands-on management to ensure that the organization's operations align with its overall goals.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors and manages operations of commercial contract sites.
  • Oversees the quality of performance, productivity, cost control, and manpower requirements.
  • Acts as liaison between SSI and clients/vendors.
  • Ensures prime/subcontract roles are properly arranged and monitored for compliance.
  • Assures quality, safety, security and environmental protection in all contracts and compliance with laws governing these areas.
  • Executes documentation of contract compliance in corporate records.
  • Performs inspections of records, equipment, licenses, quality of work during site visits.
  • Reviews weekly and/or monthly statistics and performance data from all sites.
  • Analyzes trends and initiate corrective action plans as needed to address contract performance deficiencies.
  • Acts as Phase-In Team (PIT) Leader on all new commercial contract awards and phase-outs accordingly.
  • Accountable for reaching established corporate objectives including productivity, customer service, financial measurements and safety.
  • Any and all other duties assigned by the Director of Commercial International.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in operations and facility maintenance.
  • Minimum of 5 years' progressive management level experience in O&M including multi-site oversight.
  • Prior U.S Military experience a plus.
  • Experience in Government Contract Management a plus.
  • Experience in commercial (non-Government) contract Management required.
  • Experience in Work Control and Work Scheduling.
  • Preventive Maintenance, Predictive Maintenance, Service Calls, and IDIQ Projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Understanding of subcontract arrangements and other vendor support.
  • Hands-on ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
