About the position

The Business Office Manager at our Long Term Care Facility is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all business office functions under the guidance of the Administrator. This role is crucial in ensuring that all accounting practices are adhered to and that the financial operations of the facility run smoothly. The Business Office Manager will supervise the preparation, submission, receipt, and verification of various reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards. This position requires a strong understanding of accounts receivable and collections, including insurance billing, Medicaid billing, and Medicare billing, along with the necessary follow-up procedures. The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in computer knowledge to effectively manage these tasks. In addition to the technical aspects of the role, the Business Office Manager must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills. This includes the ability to relate positively and favorably to residents, their families, and government regulators. The role also involves working cooperatively with other associates at all levels within the organization. The Business Office Manager plays a key role in fostering a positive environment that supports both staff and residents, ensuring that the facility operates in accordance with sound business practices and regulatory requirements.
