About the position

Citrus Heights Post Acute is seeking a dedicated and skilled Business Office Manager to join our team as a Co-Business Office Manager, working alongside our current Business Office Manager. This role is essential in supporting the facility's operations by maintaining efficient business office systems and supervising the office staff. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that all business office functions are carried out smoothly and effectively, contributing to the overall success of the facility. As a Business Office Manager, you will be responsible for obtaining managed care and CalAIM authorizations, managing resident trust funds, and supervising the business office staff. You will also maintain census records, report status changes, and assist with CalAIM or Medical applications. Your role will involve preparing necessary documentation, tracking redeterminations, and participating in billing and payment processes, including preparing bank deposits and undertaking collection activities for bad debts. In addition to these responsibilities, you will assist with the overall supervision and management of the business office staff, ensuring that operational requirements are met by scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results. Responsibilities

  • Obtain managed care and/or CalAIM authorizations including bedholds.
  • Assist with managing resident trust fund, including printing and distributing monthly statements.
  • Supervise business office staff, including taking appropriate disciplinary measures.
  • Maintain census and report status changes.
  • Attend stand-up meetings at the request of the Administrator.
  • Assist with CalAIM or Medical applications.
  • Prepare CalAIM TARS as needed.
  • Track CalAIM and Medi-Cal redeterminations.
  • Participate in billing and payment processes including preparing bank deposits.
  • Undertake collection activity for bad debts.
  • Complete operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of skilled nursing billing and payment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft products and computer skills.
  • Preferably one year of experience in a long-term care facility.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge and experience with PCC preferred.
