Business Systems Analyst

About the position

The position involves collaborating with department leaders to evaluate current systems and processes, identifying inefficiencies, and recommending scalable technology solutions. The individual will serve as a systems administrator and internal consultant for core business platforms, ensuring they are secure, well-maintained, and effectively used. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to support operational and strategic decision-making, as well as supporting data migration, data integrity, and system hygiene efforts across business applications. The role also requires facilitating communication and project coordination between internal teams and external vendors or technology partners, designing and documenting workflows, standard operating procedures, and training materials to drive adoption and operational consistency. Additionally, the individual will lead or participate in cross-functional initiatives involving automation, data integration (ETL, EDI, API), and business intelligence, while monitoring and maintaining middleware and integration platforms to ensure reliable and secure data flow between systems.

• Support data migration, data integrity, and system hygiene efforts across business applications.
• Facilitate communication and project coordination between internal teams and external vendors or technology partners.
• Design and document workflows, standard operating procedures, and training materials to drive adoption and operational consistency.
• Lead or participate in cross-functional initiatives involving automation, data integration (ETL, EDI, API), and business intelligence.
• Monitor and maintain middleware and integration platforms to ensure reliable and secure data flow between systems.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a systems analyst, business analyst, or application support role within a business or IT environment.
• Strong understanding of core business functions such as finance, operations, and supply chain management.
• Experience with reporting tools and data platforms (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Velixo, or similar).
• Familiarity with data integration and middleware platforms (e.g., Celigo, Boomi, MuleSoft, or comparable tools).
• Working knowledge of data imports/exports, SQL, and API-based integration concepts.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a strong customer service mindset.
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience supporting or administering ERP or core business applications.
• Background in managing third-party vendors and software partners.
• Exposure to cloud-based platforms and SaaS tools.
• Understanding of EDI standards (e.g., X12) and use in B2B transactions.
