About the position

The Busser / Service Assistant at P.F. Chang's is responsible for supporting restaurant operations by ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for guests, assisting with food delivery, and providing exceptional customer service. This part-time role involves working closely with the dining and takeout teams to enhance the overall guest experience while maintaining restaurant cleanliness and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Guiding guests through their experience while taking, placing, and reviewing orders for takeout and catering.
• Understanding the restaurant menu to identify different menu items for takeout and catering, and guiding guests on their choices.
• Reviewing orders with the guest or delivery driver to ensure accuracy.
• Delivering an exceptional hospitality experience by anticipating and exceeding guests' expectations.
• Clearing, cleaning, and sanitizing restaurant tables, bussing dishes to the kitchen dishwasher station, and resetting tables as needed.
• Restocking, cleaning, and maintaining all restaurant stations.
• Understanding the restaurant seating layout and how to deliver food within the restaurant.
• Serving food or beverages for dine-in and takeout.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills and etiquette.
• Ability to operate kitchen equipment, including coffee machines and point of sale (POS) systems.
• Ability to execute proper sanitation practices and safety procedures.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience in hospitality is a plus, but not required.
