About the position

The C4ISR RF Test Engineer position at Scientific Research Corporation involves supporting the Government Tactical Air Reference Implementation Laboratory at NIWC Pacific in San Diego, CA. The role focuses on developing and executing test plans, objectives, and methodologies for RF communications and networks, ensuring compliance with performance requirements, and analyzing test results to support various acquisition milestones.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and execution of test plans, test objectives, test measures, and evaluation criteria.
• Develop T&E strategy, Test and Evaluation Master Plan, requirement verification and test plans.
• Coordinate with responsible test organizations to ensure required test objectives are included and resolve emergent issues with test preparation.
• Review program T&E results and associated analysis for rigor and thoroughness.
• Review emerging technologies in designing and testing RF communications and networks for airborne applications.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in applied science, computing, engineering, mathematics, physics, management information systems, or related discipline.
• Minimum three years of Test and Evaluation (T&E) experience supporting programs through acquisition milestones and testing phases.
• Minimum three years of experience preparing, maintaining, and reviewing test documentation for compliance with requirements.

Nice-to-haves

• Direct experience with RF test equipment, including spectrum analyzers and oscilloscopes.
• Experience with maintaining and debugging networking test equipment.
• Experience performing management, reduction, and analysis of data for C4ISR systems.
• Experience with open architecture constructs like SOSA and CMOSS.
• Experience with LPD and LPI waveforms.
