About the position

The CAD Designer role at KLH Engineers, Inc. involves providing drafting and design support for various municipal engineering projects. The position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills, capable of working in a fast-paced environment while adhering to CAD standards. The designer will collaborate with engineers to develop design drawings for civil, mechanical, and structural disciplines, contributing to the planning, design, and construction administration of municipal facilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with lead engineer or designer to develop design drawings for civil, mechanical, and structural disciplines.
• Evaluate and resolve problems by reviewing multiple sources of information and coordinating design criteria with other designers and engineers.
• Draft clear, detailed technical drawings that meet project specifications.
• Perform local field/site visits as needed.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Requirements

• Knowledge of computer-aided drafting software including Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Associate's degree in Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) or high school diploma with equivalent related experience.
• 0-2 years' experience with civil site, water & wastewater system facilities and piping design, utilities, and other related projects.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Suite including MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
