The Cage Cashier at The Mint Gaming Hall is responsible for maintaining an accurate balance of company assets while delivering exceptional guest service. This role requires the cashier to consistently communicate operational information and updates based on the shift worked, ensuring that all Cage management is kept informed. The Cage Cashier will handle guest and company funds with precision, processing all transactions and documentation in accordance with regulations, company policies, and departmental procedures. Safeguarding cage assets and maintaining the bank balance are critical components of this position. In addition to financial responsibilities, the Cage Cashier assists guests with inquiries and provides information on current property promotions and events. The role also involves supporting Cage management by conducting transaction verifications to prevent discrepancies and ensure compliance with procedures. The cashier must address any machine, equipment, or software malfunctions, reporting discrepancies to the Cage Manager or Director of Cash Operations immediately. Minor repairs may be conducted under the supervision of Cage management. Providing excellent service to internal guests is paramount, which includes greeting and interacting with guests in a friendly and enthusiastic manner, anticipating their needs, and remaining calm and professional in challenging situations. The Cage Cashier is expected to develop and maintain positive working relationships with managers, supervisors, staff, coworkers, guests, and vendors. Training other team members may also be part of the responsibilities, as requested by Cage management. Immediate reporting of any infractions of company policies or procedures is essential to uphold the integrity of the operations.
