About the position

Under the direction of the Camp Director, the Camp Office Administrator & Extended Care Coordinator oversees the camp office and extended care program.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with SJCC Account Services Manager to assist with camper enrollment, including but not limited to late registrations, charges and cancellations.
  • Manage, review, and track transportation and attendance changes.
  • Track enrollment and communicate with waitlisted families as spaces become available.
  • Answer calls, listen to voicemails and distribute messages.
  • Respond to emails sent to camp@sjcc.org in a timely manner. Forward and/or share messages with other Camp Leadership Team members as needed.
  • Print necessary information needed for group clipboards each week, including medical/allergy info, camper rosters, schedules and arrival/dismissal info.
  • Ensure camper forms are received and reviewed before campers attend camp. Contact families with overdue forms.
  • Ensure camper shirts are sorted and delivered to new campers each Monday.
  • Work with the Coordinators to order, organize, store and regularly inventory supplies/equipment.
  • Track swim test results in collaboration with the Aquatics team.
  • Immediately inform Camp Director of any concerns that arise with campers, staff, parents/guardians, and community members.
  • Actively supervise Extended Care Counselors during Extended Care and provide constructive feedback to staff.
  • Lead weekly staff meetings for Extended Care Counselors.
  • Ensure the safety, health and welfare of campers and staff by providing a safe camp environment and immediately and appropriately responding to any incidents, illnesses or situations that arise.
  • Support the emotional and social wellbeing of campers through positive behavior management, supportive interactions and conflict resolution.
  • Review health forms and share pertinent information about campers with the appropriate staff, while ensuring confidentiality is maintained.
  • Communicate regularly with the Camp Director and other members of the Camp Leadership Team. Share recommendations with the Camp Director on an ongoing basis.
  • Act as a positive ambassador of the SJCC both inside and outside of the SJCC.
  • Follow all emergency procedures at the SJCC.
  • Perform work on weekends and evenings as needed to meet applicable deadlines or scheduling needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Washington State Pay Range: $21.50 - $22.50/hr
  • Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including but not limited to, skills, relevant experience, and specific work location.
