About the position

The Capability Developer position at SAIC involves supporting the customer with capability development and integration processes, particularly in the areas of Space and High Altitude. The role requires evaluating future concepts across DOTMLPF-P elements, assessing functionality, solution alternatives, and operational and cost benefits while identifying associated risks. The candidate will also be responsible for writing Concept of Operations (CONOPS) and Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) documents, leading assessments of current and future systems, and developing emerging material solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Support capability development and integration processes for the customer.
  • Evaluate future concepts across DOTMLPF-P elements.
  • Assess functionality, solution alternatives, and operational and cost benefits.
  • Identify risks associated with capability development.
  • Write Concept of Operations (CONOPS) and Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) documents.
  • Lead assessments of current and future systems.
  • Provide development of emerging material solutions.
  • Synchronize Army operational assessments.
  • Develop, coordinate, and staff appropriate Army/Joint Capabilities Integration Development System (ACIDS/JCIDS) documents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field.
  • Fifteen years of Space Systems experience.
  • Four years of experience, technical certifications, or military experience in lieu of degree.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
  • US Citizenship required.
  • Experience in Space and High Altitude.
  • Expertise in writing CONOPS and TTPs documents.
  • Skilled in leading assessments of current and future systems.
  • Knowledgeable in synchronization of Army operational assessments.
  • Experience in development, coordination, and staffing of ACIDS/JCIDS documents.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to identify/investigate source documents for quantitative and qualitative analyses.
  • Experience with OSC/DSC technologies, systems, and integration efforts.
  • Space Control technology development and user operational assessments.
  • Expertise in technology assessments to ensure acceptance and relevance for improvements that meet capability gaps.
  • Expertise in the development of system-related briefings and reports that include supporting graphics and other technical analyses.
