About the position

The Card Control Attendant at Parkwest Bicycle Casino is responsible for ensuring that all playing cards are properly accounted for and maintained in excellent condition for use in table games. This role involves working with both paper and plastic cards, assisting co-workers, and providing customer service on the casino floor.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all cards are properly accounted for and in top condition for use.
• Check for irregularities in paper cards, replace if needed, and manage them through the Shuffle Machine.
• Verify card colors, print receipts/labels, and stock cards in the vault for use.
• Check for irregularities in plastic cards, clean them, and manage them through the I-deal machine.
• Deliver and pick up cards using a cart in a timely manner.
• Prepare tables with the proper numbered boxes of cards when new games start.
• Retrieve decks from tables and assist in maintaining a neat gaming room.
• Answer customer questions or refer them to the appropriate personnel.
• Ensure the Card Control room is never left unattended and all cards are collected at all times.
• Notify Supervisor or Lead Floorperson of any irregularities immediately.
• Assist in the orientation and training of new staff or temporary workers.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to pass mandatory screening including a background check and drug test.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task effectively.
• Ability to communicate clearly with team members.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
