About The Position

The Cardiac Device Technician at HCA HealthONE Colorado Cardiology Associates plays a crucial role in providing clinical expertise to ensure high-quality care for patients with cardiac devices. This position involves interrogating, interpreting, and reprogramming cardiac devices, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with physicians to document device analyses accurately. The technician will also manage patient scheduling and follow-ups, ensuring efficient patient care and device management.

Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relatable science program is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience analyzing and reprogramming cardiac pacemakers and AICDs OR a current and unrevoked Cardiac Device Technology Certification from a recognized device training school.
• Experience reviewing and managing remote device transmissions is required.

Responsibilities

• Interrogate, interpret, and re-program cardiac devices with minimal physician supervision.
• Troubleshoot critical device issues and take immediate steps toward resolution.
• Collaborate with physicians regarding device status and accurately document device analysis in EMR for review.
• Ensure charges are accurately captured for device interrogation.
• Schedule patients for device appointment follow-up in EMR and remote website, including immediate contact with 'no show' patients to ensure they are rescheduled.
