About the position

The Cardiac Rehab Physical Therapist/Exercise Physiologist plays a crucial role in the multidisciplinary cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation team, focusing on patient assessment, exercise session development, implementation, and monitoring, along with providing education to patients and their families regarding exercise and health management.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients' physical condition and needs.
  • Develop and implement personalized exercise programs.
  • Monitor patients during exercise sessions to ensure safety and effectiveness.
  • Provide education to patients and families about exercise, home exercise programs, and self-monitoring techniques.
  • Address risk factors and suggest modifications to improve patient outcomes.
  • Conduct behavioral interventions to support patient health.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Cardiac Rehabilitation Internship or 1-2 years of experience in a cardiac rehabilitation program.
  • Completion of an accredited bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology, Physical Therapy, Nursing, or another Clinical Science degree is required.
  • BLS certification is required.
  • Ability to effectively interact with diverse personality types and cultural backgrounds.
