About the position

The Career Systems Manager at the University of Florida is responsible for overseeing multiple projects within the Career Connections Center (C3) to enhance user experience and system effectiveness. This role involves managing the Gator CareerLink system, collaborating with various stakeholders, and ensuring the integrity and quality of the database. The manager will also analyze career readiness trends, support technology initiatives, and maintain vendor relationships to improve services and efficiencies.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the point of contact for multiple projects within the C3 focused on user experience.
  • Act as the database administrator for the Gator CareerLink system.
  • Collaborate with the Center and larger portfolio to evaluate and disseminate system information.
  • Make recommendations to improve services and efficiencies through technology.
  • Coordinate the implementation of system updates and staff training.
  • Support the center's initiatives by managing technical aspects and relationships with UF IT and the Office of the Registrar.
  • Collect, report, and identify trends related to career readiness and center programs.
  • Ensure database quality, integrity, and compliance for reporting purposes.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, dashboards, and presentations.
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure best practices in system usage.
  • Develop outreach and communication plans to increase awareness of career preparedness technology.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in an appropriate field and two years of experience, or a bachelor's degree and four years of related experience.
  • Two years of experience in stakeholder engagement, marketing, sales, career development, career counseling, or HR.
  • Experience working inclusively with diverse populations.
  • Knowledge of industry relations, employment trends, and career services.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in marketing, social sciences, student personnel, or human resources (HR).
  • Skilled in computer applications.
  • Facilitative skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Good presentation, listening, helping, relationship management, and program development skills.
