About the position

The Caregiver position at Maulin Home Care Services involves providing essential support and care to developmentally delayed children and adults in the Inland Empire area. The role is designed for individuals who are compassionate and dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for clients through personal care and emotional support. Caregivers will work in clients' homes, ensuring their safety and comfort while adhering to agency policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Take care of developmentally delayed children and adults.
• Report directly to administrative agent.
• Assist with shampooing and bathing in tub, shower, or bed.
• Provide hair care and oral hygiene assistance, including toileting if safe.
• Assist with food preparation and patient activities, if safe.
• Perform light cleaning around the client’s area.
• Make the patient's bed and change linens.
• Provide emotional support and motivation to clients.
• Maintain appropriate agency records.
• Submit confirmed visits on a bi-monthly basis by the 14th and 30th/31st of every month.
• Adhere to all reporting regulations per policy.
• Follow all safety requirements per regulation and departmental policy.
• Maintain regular verbal and written contact with the agency and notify the director immediately of any unusual occurrences or changes in client status.
• Attend in-services as scheduled.

Requirements

• Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
• Negative TB (Tuberculosis) Test.
• Department of Justice (DOJ) level of Live Scan.
• Valid California Driver's license or California Card.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

• 1 year of caregiving experience (preferred).
• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
