About the position
The Caregiver/Med Tech position at Serenity RCF is focused on promoting the health and well-being of residents by providing direct care and support. The role involves assisting residents with daily activities, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and ensuring compliance with facility standards and regulations. The caregiver will work closely with other staff members to enhance the quality of care and life for residents, while also managing various administrative tasks as needed.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
- Support residents with mobility, transferring, lifting, and repositioning
- Engage residents in social and recreational activities
- Assist with exercise and range of motion activities
- Help residents communicate effectively using aids and devices
- Maintain cleanliness in residents' rooms and common areas
- Handle laundry tasks including washing, folding, and organizing linens
- Answer incoming facility phone calls and take messages as needed
- Communicate effectively with caregivers, med-aides, and healthcare personnel
- Build relationships with residents, families, and associates
Requirements
- One to two years of experience in residential care, assisted living, or memory care facility preferred
- Knowledge of current federal and state healthcare regulations
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Strong multitasking abilities
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
