About the position

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated caregiver for my father, who resides in College Station, Texas. He is currently living with Lewy Body Dementia and has experienced a stroke in February 2023. The ideal candidate will be someone who can provide personal care assistance and companionship, ensuring my father's comfort and safety. The caregiver will be expected to assist him with daily activities, including dressing, showering, and restroom use. Additionally, the caregiver will help manage incontinence and administer medication as needed. This position is crucial for maintaining my father's quality of life and requires a gentle and patient approach. The caregiver will work approximately 20-25 hours per week, with the potential for additional hours based on availability. The required days of work are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. The schedule will primarily be in the afternoon, with Sunday requiring both morning and afternoon availability. The caregiver will also be responsible for light housekeeping in my father's areas and assisting with light physical activities. Companionship is a vital part of this role, as it helps to provide emotional support and engagement for my father during his daily routine.
