About the position
The Caregiver position at Allpro Homecare involves providing non-medical personal care and assistance to clients in their homes. The role focuses on enhancing the client's quality of life through support with daily activities, companionship, and ensuring safety and healthy living. Caregivers are responsible for observing and reporting any changes in the client's condition to the administrator, while adhering to the Service Plan for each assigned client.
Responsibilities
- Assists client with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assists client with toileting, including use of bedpan, commode, or toilet.
- Assists client with transfers and ambulation including use of cane, walker, and wheelchair.
- Performs housekeeping duties.
- Plans, prepares, and serves meals, with assistance from the clients (when they are able).
- Assists with shopping and errands.
- Reports any unusual events or occurrences to the administrator.
- Acts quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
- Completes all other duties within the Client Service Plan.
Requirements
- Available to work different shifts, including nights and/or weekends.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Experience as a Caregiver preferable.
- Valid driver's license and reliable daily transportation.
- Willingness to travel at least 45 minutes is a must.
- Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to client).
- Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations.
- Adequate physical endurance.
