The Carpenter II position at the University of Central Missouri is a full-time role focused on general building maintenance and carpentry tasks. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of maintenance activities, including replacing drop ceiling tiles, repairing damaged floor tiles, and installing bath accessories and towel bars. Additionally, the role involves adjusting and changing door closers, caulking window leaks, building and installing new interior doors, and patching and repairing sheetrock walls. The Carpenter II will also be tasked with repairing office furniture, bath partitions, and cement sidewalks, as well as mounting outside furniture in cement. This position plays a crucial role in preparing the University for significant events such as commencements. The work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional nights and weekends required. The role is classified as nonexempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and is part of a bargaining unit.
