About the position

The Case Advocate at Better Tax Relief plays a vital role in supporting Case Managers by assisting in the collection and management of essential documentation for tax resolution. This position requires consistent communication with clients to ensure timely gathering and processing of required documents, utilizing the Logics CRM system for effective client interaction and document management. The role is focused on providing professional assistance while maintaining a high standard of client support and education regarding IRS processes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the collection of all necessary documents for tax resolution, maintaining an organized system for tracking requests and receipts.
  • Consistently communicate with clients via phone, email, and text messages to remind them of outstanding document requests and deadlines.
  • Ensure timely responses to client call-back requests, within a 24-hour timeframe.
  • Utilize the Logics CRM system to manage client interactions and document submissions, ensuring accurate and timely updates to client profiles.
  • Upload and properly rename documents within the CRM, maintaining data integrity and accessibility.
  • Provide basic explanations to clients regarding the importance of requested documents and the role they play in the resolution process.
  • Address common client questions and concerns, offering clear and supportive responses.
  • Assist in preparing and submitting updated IRS forms 8821 and 2848 for client signatures, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Support mailroom functions as needed, including sorting, scanning, and handling client correspondence.
  • Maintain a high standard of professional conduct in all client interactions.

Requirements

  • Experience in case management or client services, preferably in tax or financial services.
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional written communication skills.
  • Ability to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in using a CRM, particularly Logics CRM, is preferred.
  • Understanding of IRS procedures and tax resolution is a plus.
