The Case Manager/Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) will assist each student to achieve his/her maximum growth through art based activities and is responsible for the development and review of all Staff Action Plans and 'Outcomes'. The Art Instructor / QIDP will also ensure 'Outcomes' are being carried out according to the Staff Action Plan and will act as an advocate for all consumers enrolled.

Responsibilities

• Develop and write a Staff Action Plan for each Participant at least two times a year
• Provide oversight and guidance to staff on implementation of Participant and clinical issues
• Teach Participants to express themselves through art techniques
• Ensure effective communication between Program and Care Coordinators
• Participate in appropriate meetings
• Provide support to Art Instructors and Art Department as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a human services field or a Bachelor’s Degree with training or course work in human services, required
• One year of experience in providing services to persons with developmental disabilities, required
• Good writing, typing and interpersonal communication skills, required
• Valid NYS driver’s license and reliable transportation, required

• A background in art is preferred
