About the position

The Case Manager / Program Facilitator position is essential to the Franklin County Community Based Correctional Facility (CBCF). A Case Manager maintains a resident caseload, conducts one-on-one office visits with residents, and serves as the primary point of contact for residents. A Program Facilitator conducts cognitive behavioral groups with residents. These positions participate in the development, facilitation and coordination of day-to-day program delivery to residents and serve as members of a Treatment Team. These positions observe, monitor, and interact with residents throughout the facility and grounds; supervise the residents in accordance with established laws, policies and procedures, and standards; and address resident needs, including but not limited to the areas of family involvement, healthy relationships, communication, life skills, education, mental health, substance abuse, legal matters, housing, and employment. These positions maintain assigned areas in a safe, sanitary, secure and orderly condition; and promote and model pro-social behavior at all times.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in social work, sociology, psychology, criminal justice, or a related field (REQUIRED).
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (PREFERRED).
  • Two to three years' experience in corrections, psychology, criminal justice, social work, substance abuse treatment, mental health, or a related field with human services delivery in a residential setting (PREFERRED).
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid Ohio Driver's license and a good driving record.
