About The Position

As a Cashier at Sprouts Farmers Market, you will serve as the face of the company, responsible for processing customer orders quickly and accurately while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction. This role involves handling cash and credit transactions, assisting customers with inquiries, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area. You will also be expected to support the store by stocking shelves and providing information about products and store events.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience required.
• Outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude.
• Ability to operate front end equipment such as registers and scanners.
• Dependable and reliable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to perform repetitious activities and multi-task effectively.
• Must lift/carry products weighing up to 30 lbs. and move grocery carts requiring a force up to 35 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail and proficiency with numbers.

Responsibilities

• Process customer orders quickly and accurately.
• Handle cash, credit, and debit payments, and provide change to customers.
• Assist customers by providing information and resolving complaints.
• Maintain knowledge of weekly ad items and product locations.
• Ensure checkout areas are clean and orderly at all times.
• Assist with stocking shelves and facing products as needed.
• Communicate effectively with the front end manager and Head Cashier.
• Execute all other related duties as assigned.
