About the position

As a member of the Pick 'N Save team, you will play a crucial role in creating an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Your responsibilities will include establishing and maintaining a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. You will be expected to demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety of others. Pick 'N Save, part of The Kroger Company since 2015, is dedicated to serving customers across 89 stores in Wisconsin, with a mission to feed the human spirit through food and community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service.
• Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment for customers.
• Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
• Greet, engage, and assist customers actively as a visible presence in the store.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently through the check lane.
• Understand and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling various payment methods according to company policy.
• Report pricing discrepancies and adhere to guidelines on restricted sale items.
• Follow established policies and procedures for various transactions and promotions.
• Stay informed about current, future, seasonal, and special ads.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Reinforce safety programs and report unsafe conditions or accidents to management.
• Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting issues.

Requirements

• Customer service experience.
• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).

Nice-to-haves

• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk.
• Experience as a Cashier/Checker.
