About the position

The Catering Service Attendant at Roger Williams University is responsible for preparing and serving food at various scheduled functions under the supervision of the Catering Manager. This part-time role involves setting up, serving, breaking down, and cleaning up after events, ensuring high standards of sanitation and customer service throughout the process.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food at scheduled functions under the supervision of the Catering Manager.
• Set up buffet tables and food items according to pre-established standards.
• Maintain sanitation and orderliness of all equipment and utensils in the work area.
• Clean tables and chairs before, during, and after meal service as assigned.
• Interact with customers to ensure satisfaction and resolve complaints in a friendly manner.
• Assemble and deliver food and supplies for catered functions to scheduled locations.
• Ensure proper presentation and portion control according to HACCP standards.

Requirements

• Ability to interact with a diverse and high-volume customer base in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and problem-solve effectively.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a driver's record in good standing.
• Ability to follow all Dining's health and safety standards and requirements.
