About the position

The catering driver position prepares and delivers assigned products to aircraft and retrieves spent carts. Responsibilities include: 1) Verifying flight documentation to ensure correct items are loaded before heading to ramp, 2) Interacting with Customer Service team members to identify and resolve problems, 3) Complying with standard operating procedures regarding driving, positioning the unit at the planes, securing the work platform, and loading and unloading carts on and off the planes.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to work in a team environment, while also taking ownership of assigned catering carts and assigned deliveries independently.
  • Proficiency driving lift trucks. Ability to drive and maneuver catering truck to rear of the aircraft and raise box of catering truck to the aircraft.
  • Deliver, remove, and clear aircrafts of carts, food, beverage, essential supplies, and catering waste back and forth between elevated box (15ft) of catering truck and the aircraft in an efficient manner.
  • Perform safety inspection of assigned items, including assigned truck, at beginning and end of the shift.
  • Coordinate with the manager and catering team to turn assigned planes at the same time and communicate with other departments as necessary.
  • Prepare soda and beverage carts, assist with preparing Personal Supply Kits.
  • Ability to service international and domestic charter and scheduled flights.
  • Relay information to supervisor on any interruption to normally scheduled assigned service to planes and work together on solutions and alternatives.
  • Put delivered supplies in appropriate area.
  • Maintain cleanliness of workspace.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask effectively.
  • Ability to anticipate needs of coworkers and passengers in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with the ability to pass a continuous driving records check.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an MSP SIDA badge with a CBP Seal.
