About the position

K&B Transportation is actively seeking Over-the-Road (OTR) drivers who are ready to take on the open road with competitive pay options tailored to their home-time preferences. This position offers two distinct pay structures, allowing drivers to choose between a higher pay rate for longer stretches on the road or a more traditional pay structure with regular home time. Both options guarantee a minimum of 2500 miles per week, ensuring that drivers can maximize their earnings while enjoying the flexibility that suits their lifestyle. For those who thrive on the road, the Road Warrior option provides a starting pay of $0.70 CPM with a weekly guarantee of $1750 for drivers willing to stay out for 8 weeks at a time, followed by 10 days at home. This structure allows dedicated drivers to earn up to $90,000 gross in their first year. Alternatively, the Traditional Midwest OTR option offers a starting pay of $0.60 CPM with a guaranteed weekly income of $1500, along with various bonus opportunities that can help drivers reach an annual gross income of $80,000. Responsibilities

• Drive safely and efficiently to deliver goods across regional or national lanes.
• Maintain a minimum of 2500 miles per week as guaranteed by the company.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while on the road.
• Complete necessary paperwork and maintain accurate logs of driving hours and vehicle inspections.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members regarding routes and schedules.

Requirements

• Must possess a valid Class A CDL license.
• Minimum of 1 year of Over-the-Road (OTR) driving experience required.
• Ability to operate a 100% automatic Freightliner Cascadia truck.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards in the trucking industry.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with refrigerated freight is a plus.
• Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs).
• Good communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.
