About the position
The Class A CDL Driver Solo position involves transporting Amazon loads primarily using drop and hook methods. The role offers consistent and flexible scheduling, with opportunities for additional shifts and overtime. Drivers will operate state-of-the-art equipment and play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while enjoying reliable home time and various performance incentives.
Responsibilities
- Haul Amazon loads using state-of-the-art Amazon-branded equipment.
- Work approximately XX hours per week with consistent work throughout the year.
- Participate in drop and hook operations, with no loading or unloading required.
- Maintain a clean motor vehicle record and adhere to safety regulations.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old for insurance purposes.
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) required.
- Ability to be out for 5 days with 48 hours of home time.
- Successful completion of a DOT physical is mandatory.
- Must be able to communicate in English effectively.
- No current CDL suspension or revocation.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record is required.
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Ability to use handheld technology and smartphone applications.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with Amazon freight operations is a plus.
- Familiarity with GPS/Navigation/Electronic Log Devices.
