About the position

The Cell Therapy Market Access Manager (CMAM) is responsible for executing access and reimbursement strategies within identified Cell Therapy accounts in the Mississippi/Ohio Valley territory. This role involves leading all Market Access activities for Cell Therapy, collaborating with internal partners and external customers, and ensuring compliance with Bristol Myers Squibb standards. The CMAM will work to achieve assigned goals while maintaining a deep understanding of payer policies, reimbursement processes, and the economics of Cell Therapy treatment centers.

Responsibilities

  • Exhibit a high degree of Market Access and Cell Therapy technical expertise within both payer and hospital systems.
  • Maintain full accountability for ensuring assigned Cell Therapy treatment centers understand all elements of Market Access, including Government payer policy and local payer dynamics.
  • Work cross-functionally within the Cell Therapy Account Management Team and other matrix teams to meet Market Access product objectives.
  • Support and maintain collaborative relationships with the Cell Therapy customer-facing matrix team.
  • Identify and provide relevant regional marketplace feedback to management on customer business trends and account issues.
  • Drive understanding of complex Cell Therapy site-of-care economics for treatment centers.
  • Establish access account management goals and assist Cell Therapy Account Managers to ensure no access barriers.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with key access stakeholders within assigned treatment centers.
  • Facilitate and drive patient journey within accounts as needed.
  • Ensure access challenges are escalated and triaged accordingly within identified accounts.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of focused business plans that align with access objectives for Cell Therapy accounts.
  • Deliver impactful presentations with external healthcare professionals on access and reimbursement topics.
  • Meet annual and ongoing performance reviews and competency requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Health or Life Sciences, Healthcare Administration, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 1+ years of direct Cell therapy experience strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of overall Pharmaceutical and/or Healthcare industry experience in support of policy, access and reimbursement preferred.
  • 5+ years of Oncology, Hematology or other complex, high cost buy and bill therapy reimbursement experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of reimbursement, coding and billing across both inpatient and outpatient settings of care.
  • Knowledge of health insurance coverage and reimbursement, including private Commercial coverage, Medicare, and Medicaid.
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment with the need to manage constant change.
  • Proven organizational skills with ability to problem solve and manage multiple urgent priorities in parallel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified Coder or Biller is a plus.
  • Experience working with finances/budgets.
  • Proficient skillset working with PowerPoint and Excel.
