About the position

CalSolar Inc is seeking dynamic State Certified Journeymen Electricians to join their production-driven team. The role involves performing solar electrical installations and troubleshooting in commercial settings, ensuring compliance with safety and building codes while delivering projects on schedule and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for assembly, installation, maintenance and testing of electrical equipment and wiring systems in commercial settings.
• Prepares work area for installation of equipment.
• Installs electrical components.
• Connects wiring and equipment as per code and job specification.
• Operates equipment only if trained and certified to operate.
• Sets up and operates tools such as hydraulic benders, power threaders, power pullers and cable vacuum systems.
• Reads blueprints and electrical drawings and installs as specified.
• Verifies dimensions, alignments and clearances per drawings or plans.
• Secures and locks up equipment after use.

Requirements

• State Journeyman Electrician Certification is required or highly desirable in states without this requirement.
• A proven track record of delivering safe projects on schedule and within budget.
• Excellent working knowledge of the Building Codes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
