Certified Product Owner
Genesis10 is seeking a Certified Product Owner for our client in the Retail industry. This 6 Month Contract position is located in Plano, TX. This is a Hybrid work schedule.
Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Owner to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will have over 10 years of experience in product management, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of success in managing cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize product features and requirements.
Develop and maintain a clear product vision and roadmap that aligns with the company's strategic goals.
Manage the product backlog, ensuring that it is well-organized, prioritized, and up-to-date.
Lead and facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Work closely with development teams to ensure that user stories and acceptance criteria are clearly defined and understood.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to provide updates on product progress and gather feedback.
Monitor and measure product performance, using data to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement.
Champion Agile methodologies and practices within the organization.
Ensure that the product meets the highest standards of quality, usability, and functionality.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with product development and delivery.
Provide strong leadership and mentorship to cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in product management or a related field.
Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
Certification in product management (e.g., PMI-ACP, Certified Scrum Product Owner)
Proven experience in leading and facilitating Scrum ceremonies.
Strong understanding of Agile principles and methodologies.
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Prior work experience as a senior software developer, manager of software development or solution architect.
Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Experience with product lifecycle management and software development processes.
