About the position

We are looking to on-board experienced fitness professionals to teach chair yoga, seated exercise, seated dance, and/or Tai Chi classes on-site for seniors at various facilities including retirement communities, independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, health and rehabilitation facilities, 55+ communities, senior centers, and country/social clubs throughout the US. As a Senior Fitness Instructor with Kev's Gym, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective fitness classes tailored to the needs of seniors, many of whom may have physical and cognitive disabilities. The ideal candidate will possess a valid certification in Zumba, Yoga, Tai Chi, or personal training, and should have a passion for working with the senior population. Classes are designed to be 100% seated and body-weight based, ensuring safety and accessibility for all participants. Instructors are expected to commit to teaching between 5-10 hours of classes per week, primarily during the hours of 9 AM to 12 PM and 1 PM to 4 PM, Monday through Sunday. Instructors will start with a competitive pay rate of $45-$60 per hour, depending on experience and the number of classes taught. As you build your client base and demonstrate good performance, there are opportunities for pay increases. The role is part-time and contract-based, allowing for a flexible schedule that can accommodate your availability. Kev's Gym manages all business-related aspects of the instructor-client relationship, including marketing, scheduling, and customer service, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality fitness instruction. Responsibilities

  • Teach chair yoga, seated exercise, seated dance, and Tai Chi classes on-site for seniors.
  • Engage and motivate participants in a safe and supportive environment.

  • Commit to teaching 5-10 hours of classes per week during specified hours.
  • Drive to client-site locations within a 20-minute radius to conduct classes.
  • Maintain a positive and nurturing attitude while instructing classes.

Requirements

  • Valid Zumba Instructor Certification or certification in Yoga, Tai Chi, or personal training.
  • Experience teaching fitness classes, particularly to seniors or individuals with disabilities.
  • Ability to commit to a flexible schedule and teach classes during specified hours.
