About the position

CFO Worx is seeking a CFO or Director of Finance for a client in the real estate investment industry. This high-level role is responsible for managing the financial health of the organization, providing strategic direction, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The position involves overseeing budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and investment activities while fostering relationships with banks, investors, and key stakeholders. This is a hybrid position based in Nashville, Tennessee, with relocation assistance available for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies that support the client's goals.
• Lead the budgeting process, ensuring accuracy and strategic resource allocation.
• Prepare and present financial reports highlighting key performance indicators and trends.
• Oversee cash flow, working capital, and liquidity.
• Identify financial risks and create strategies to mitigate them.
• Manage investments in alignment with the client's strategic objectives.
• Mentor and lead the finance team, promoting accountability and improvement.
• Build and maintain relationships with financial partners, including banks and investors.

Requirements

• 10+ years in senior finance leadership roles, preferably within real estate investment firms.
• Knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles.
• Experience with Sage Intacct (preferred).
• Advanced degree required; MBA and/or CPA preferred.
• Proven ability to lead teams and create efficient systems and processes.
• Alignment with the client's mission to address affordable housing challenges through innovative solutions.
