About the position

MarketStar is currently seeking a Channel Marketing Specialist to join the AMD Team. This position is designed to provide essential support to AMD Channel Partners, focusing on managing the Market Development Fund (MDF) process, driving revenue for AMD, and enhancing overall brand awareness. The role is remote, with preferred locations in the Austin, Texas area or Atlanta, Georgia area. As a Channel Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for operational support to channel marketing managers, which includes managing giveaway orders with Boundless, updating the events calendar, and overseeing the template and upload process for various marketing initiatives. You will also handle baseline reservation submissions, event request forms for third-party events, and inventory management for AMD-led campaigns. Additionally, you will be involved in contract management, workflow requests, and claims management for Value-Added Resellers (VARs). Your role will require you to deliver on monthly and quarterly metrics as outlined by AMD and MarketStar, ensuring that all processes are executed efficiently and effectively. In this position, you will be expected to conduct small group presentations or training sessions, demonstrating your solid understanding of distribution and channel marketing. Time management and organizational skills are crucial, as you will be juggling multiple tasks and deadlines. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential for collaborating with channel partners and internal teams. Previous experience in channel sales and marketing, particularly with MDF, is preferred, as it will enable you to navigate the complexities of the role more effectively. Responsibilities

  • Provide operational support to the channel marketing managers.
  • Manage giveaway orders with Boundless, including identifying items and gathering quotes.
  • Own and update the events calendar and manage multiple event calendar requests.
  • Lead the template and upload process for marketing initiatives.
  • Handle baseline reservation submissions, including gathering quotes for various vendors.
  • Submit event request forms for third-party events on a quarterly basis.
  • Conduct quarterly clean-up and inventory management for Extron and Lahlouh items.
  • Track AMD-led campaign results and gather metrics.
  • Manage contract renewals and track workflow requests.
  • Oversee new vendor/customer setup and requests.
  • Handle ticket event management and claims management for VARs.
  • Follow up on open purchase orders and manage event shipping for larger shows.
  • Manage corporate card requests and MPP budget reviews.
  • Set up GSI accounts for cloud support and deliver on monthly and quarterly metrics.

Requirements

  • Previous channel sales experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree or business-related work experience is a plus.
  • Experience conducting small group presentations or training.
  • Solid understanding of distribution and the ability to learn quickly.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Previous experience with channel marketing and MDF preferred.
