About the position

The Channel Presales Support Engineer (PSE) at Motorola Solutions is responsible for supporting the sales team in the Northwest/Southwest Territory by fostering partnerships with Security and IT Integrators, Building Automation dealers, and A&E Firms. This role focuses on enhancing customer relationships, achieving sales objectives, and providing technical support throughout the sales process. The PSE will also conduct training, develop presentation materials, and assist in project closures by demonstrating product value.

Responsibilities

  • Support new customer relationships both within partner and end-user communities
  • Help achieve sales, profitability, and customer recruitment objectives and represent the entire range of company products and services to assigned customers within their region(s)
  • Co-develop materials and conduct training for company products for the channel
  • Proactively drive and manage the technology phase of the sales process, and reporting
  • Support our 3rd party technology integration partners with training and product understanding on combined solutions
  • Co-develop presentation material with the sales team and perform technical presentations to the channel and end-users
  • Drive proof of concept and registered projects with the sales team including providing end of evaluation reports illustrating product and experience value alongside sales team to assist in project close
  • Liaise between helpdesk, sales and the channel on technical questions which arise during the sales process
  • Provide technical support and set up at trade shows
  • Travel to trade shows, conferences, and client locations as required

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in Sales, Engineering, or Solutions Architecture
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Experience in providing business-to-business technology/physical security technical support
  • Proficient knowledge of security and/or building automation products is a plus
  • Familiarity with cloud-based enterprise systems, IoT, and Machine Learning is a plus
  • Experience with supporting enterprise solutions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to express technical concepts in simplified terms

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficient knowledge of security and/or building automation products
