About The Position

The Chaplain II at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare provides person-centered spiritual care and emotional support to patients, families, and colleagues. This role involves crisis intervention and spiritual support throughout the institution, promoting a positive environment and outstanding service. The chaplain also assists with orientations for new hires and Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) students, while completing assigned projects and tasks.

Requirements

• Master's degree in divinity from a CHEA accredited institution (minimum of 72 semester hours).
• Four units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE).
• One year of spiritual care experience in a healthcare setting.
• Ecclesiastical endorsement from the candidate's faith group.
• Chaplain certification from an accredited body (e.g., APC, NAJC, ACCC, CASC, NAVAC).

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered spiritual care and emotional support to patients, families, and colleagues.
• Offer objective, patient/family/colleague-centered crisis intervention and spiritual support as needed.
• Promote team spirit and a positive environment resulting in outstanding patient and family service.
• Assist with orientations for new hires and CPE students.
• Complete supervisor-assigned projects and/or tasks.
