In this role, you will collaborate with the toner and photoconductor development engineers and the cartridge development and product engineers to take products from design to manufacturing scale and integrate them into printer cartridges. You will also support announced products, including cost reductions, continuity of supply, product performance, manufacturing quality, and engineering changes throughout the product's life cycle. Your responsibilities will include designing, conducting, and analyzing engineering trials at lab, pilot, and manufacturing scales, as well as scaling up new products into manufacturing and supporting photoconductor and toner manufacturing processes. Additionally, you will maintain product specifications, engineering BOMs, manufacturing recipes, and process parameters.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the toner and photoconductor development engineers and the cartridge development and product engineers to take products from design to manufacturing scale and integrate them into printer cartridges.
  • Support announced products, including cost reductions, continuity of supply, product performance, manufacturing quality, and engineering changes throughout the product's life cycle.
  • Design, conduct, and analyze engineering trials at lab, pilot, and manufacturing scales.
  • Scale-up new products into manufacturing.
  • Support photoconductor and toner manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain product specifications, engineering BOMs, manufacturing recipes, and process parameters.

Requirements

  • BS in Chemical Engineering and 2-7 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with design of experiments.
  • Ability to work well in a team, as well as individually.
  • Organize and manage capital projects to achieve schedule, budget, and scope.
  • DMAIC, A3, Six Sigma and other systematic root cause determination and problem-solving skills.
  • Practitioner of LEAN manufacturing principles.
  • Experience with polymers, solutions, dispersions, pigments, acids, and bases.
  • Experience with powder processing: milling, classification, blending, conveyance, and storage.
  • Experience with extrusion, coating, reactions, flocculation, anodizing and mixing.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to relocate to the Boulder Colorado area.
  • Occasional domestic and international travel.
